Today is October 31st. It’s Halloween time! I didn’t see any people wearing costumes yet, maybe, tonight. Happy Halloween to everyone! I am not really a big fan of Halloween – I mean, I don’t practice it. I think it is because I didn’t grow up with it. My parents don’t observe it as well. Traditionally, my parents observe and celebrate the “All Saints Day” and “All Souls Day”. It is a big Catholic holiday just like Lent and Advent time. Catholics go to the cemetery and bring some flowers and candles for their departed loved ones. And most people would stay overnight at the cemetery.

Happy Halloween
October 31st, 2008Angel Falls
October 26th, 2008I thought about falls today. The last time I’ve seen falls was two years ago in Oregon. Falls are beautiful and at the same time especially a person like me who doesn’t know how to dive and swim. The highest waterfalls in the world is Angel Falls. It is three times the size of the Eiffel Tower in France. The falls is named after the American Avaitor, who discovered this falls in 1935, James Crawford Angel. It is 3,212 feet high. The falls is located in Guayana Highlands region of Venezuela. I’d like to see this falls someday. It is very interesting to see nature! See the photo I grabbed from the net.

A mole on my cheek
October 21st, 2008I got a skin mole and tiny harmless cysts on my neck removed on Thursday. I did not like at all. I hate surgery. I don’t mind moles but the mole on my cheek was unusual. I discovered that mole two years ago and it’s getting really darker and bigger. I don’t know if that was normal or bad in nature. I will see when I go back to my Dermatologist this coming Thursday to get the stitches removed. I hope I won’t have any scar. I was glad that our health insurance paid for this minor surgery. It is really helpful when you have insurance. If you noticed that a mole that changes in color and size, it is smarter to see a doctor as soon as possible.
I am back here
October 18th, 2008I am back here. I haven’t posted anything here for a while. Actually, I just got back from vacation to see my husband’s relatives in Oregon. I had a great time with my in-laws and our friends. The climate there was cooler than San Diego. I didn’t really expect it – even though, I looked up the weather forecast. In other words, I underestimated it. But I brought some warm clothes which helped me a lot.
However, I enjoyed not paying any sales tax there. haha There is no sales tax in Oregon, which is really great! I got spoiled for 10 days. We bought some things there. My husband bought some hard drives for our computer, a GPS, and Orthotic shoes & sandals for me.
We had a great time throughout our vacation. And I will post more later about my vacation, of course, with matching pictures.
going to be out of town
September 30th, 2008I am going to be out of town for two weeks on October. We are going to have a vacation. We’re going to visit my husband’s folks. It has been two years already since the last time we went there. I am kinda excited about this vacation because I like Oregon so much. It is a green place. Though, I am not so hot on the climate. We went to Mt. Hood and checked out some falls last time. I don’t know if we are going to do these things again. We’ll see. So, I am gonna be gone for two weeks. I’ll miss dropping off some Entrecards but I will catch up later.
