I absolutely love working from home for a myriad of reasons. It’s obviously really nice to be here to answer the phone if the kids call from school or to wait on DirecTV installationwhen we order it but there are some times that I do miss being part of an office community. I’m really lucky in that I’m not tied to a phone or anything so I can take a nap in the middle of the day if I need to or run to the grocery store if I want which is really nice. There’s a lot of flexibility but a lot of risk when it comes to working for yourself but so far I love the changes I’ve seen in my daily life and I couldn’t ask for anything more. I wish I had done this years ago but without all the experience and stuff I’ve learned along the way these last few years in the working world I don’t know that this would have worked out as well as it has now!
Are you into sports?
Are you into sports? Well, when there’s a sports hall of fame, there’s also a sports hall of shame. Sounds funny, huh? Recently, I was browsing the net and came across a site called pshos.com that talks about sports personalities who had done wrong on their careers and damaged their reputation. I did not know that there’s all time worst sports personalities that did something ridiculous and scandal. If you want to more about the sports of hall of shame, check out that site.
A fulfilling job
I am so glad that I get the chance to relax and visit my blog right now. It has been a year since I resigned from my last job. I kind of missed it, and of course my co-workers and the patients. I used to work in a nursing facility. I loved my job a lot. It was a fulfilling and rewarding job, in the sense that I got to help people. I really liked that kind of job. Even though, how much I hated to get up early in the morning to go work, I loved being there for our patients. It was one of the best jobs I ever had. I remember one time, I forgot to set my alarm clock, good thing that I got up like 15 minutes before my schedule. So, I hurriedly changed clothes, grabbed my purse and drove so fast to work. And when I got there, I went to clock in the time clock. Whew! I was not late! I was on time. Well, you can’t get away with employee time clocks these days. It is always accurate. Time clocks help businessmen save money. It makes every thing more efficient and effective. You cannot manipulate it. Unlike before when there were no time clocks available, workers can just easily manipulate their schedule.
Anyhow, I missed going to work. Now, I am a full-time mom. It is more challenging and demanding. And it is a 24-job but I enjoy it a lot. It is a fulfilling job! I love it!
The Old Barn
My dad had this old barn out behind his big farmhouse and I’d always been fascinated and terrified of it as a kid. When I got older, though, he told me if I wanted to renovate it I could use it as a studio for my music and last year I finally got the courage and the funds to take him up on it! I spent nearly six months getting the place in working order and thank goodness my brother is a contractor – I know we’ve added a lot of value to dad’s house and it’s been nice having somewhere like that to work! I went to homesecurity101.com/ to make sure the place was secure at night and asked my producer friend, Jimmy, to come in and get it all set up for the right kind of sound. It’s actually got really god acoustics so he didn’t have to do much which was a huge relief to me since I was most worried about that issue! I love my dad and am thankful for this space!

Getting projects done
Despite my hectic schedule, I make sure that I get to relax and unwind even for just a bit. I usually spend my spare time watching television. I have a regular cable right now with only few channels for30 bucks a month. I think it’s a ripped off. I wish I have more channels so I can watch different interesting shows. But I can’t really afford to upgrade my cable. I was thinking of getting a satellite television. I have some friends who have satellite television and they seemed to love it.
I should get DirectTV soon because it’s cheaper and more affordable than cable. I can watch over 200 channels for $29.99. That’s really a good deal. It’s better than cable. These channels are in high definition that means I can get to enjoy the real tv experience. Moreover, they will install DirectTV for free.
Anyhow, I saw an advertisement about home security conway on tv today. It made me think of getting a home security. It’s really good to have this device especially when I go out of town. Home security protects my home while I’m away. It keeps my household stuff safe. This month, my projects are DirectTV and home security. I want to make sure that I get these projects done soon.
