My Work Life

My house is totally set up – I’ve got DIRECT TV and a new fence for the dog that doesn’t exist and all new dishes for the kitchen, too. Too bad I never spend any time there! Lately I’ve been at the office what feels like hours and hours each day and that really makes for a miserable social life and a lot of time spent in my cube. There’s something about home that I miss more than anything else and it’s something you wouldn’t think – my morning coffee routine. I’ve had to start getting into the office earlier and earlier which really shouldn’t be that big of a deal but it’s messed up my leisurely mornings. I miss being able to read the paper after a long, hot shower and drink my coffee out on the porch but I know that everything at this stage of my career is all about sacrifices. Someday my efforts are going to pay off and I’m going to land that big promotion I’ve been working for!

A lot of things

My husband has taught me a lot of things. He taught me how to drive a car. And whenever he needs to fix something like car repair or plumbing, he always wants a help from me. I think it’s fun to know these stuff. I remember when we fixed our plumbing, we had to go under our house. For me, it was very challenging. It wasn’t fun to crawl on the dirt. But what’s more interesting is I learned how to connect the pipes together with soldering iron. My husband is very meticulous and environmentally-conscious, as he doesn’t like using lead-based solder. In other words, we used SN100C which is a lead-free solder alloy. I didn’t know that you can find a lead-free solder until my husband told me. It’s really nice to know this stuff. It’s really great that my husband knows how to repair a lot of things in the house because we don’t have to hire anybody to do it for us.

Getting rid of junk

We always buy new things. We replace broken furniture or appliances with new ones. And we also upgrade household appliances, toys, like televisions, game consoles, computers, etc. for convenience. The problem is the junk is easy to pile up at home. These junks are left in stock at home, particularly, the garage. The junk occupies space and room in the house. The house gets crowded and crammed full.

It can be stressful to see some junks at home. Getting rid of unnecessary things in house can be very intimidating and overwhelming. Sometimes, we do not know where and how to start. Don’t you think? Well you can start getting rid of your junk by hiring a junk removal company. In fact, just other day, my friend in Texas hired a Bellaire junk removal company, the 1800gotjunk.com. She was very happy to get rid of the junk. Now, she can use the space in her garage for something useful.

The very nice thing about hiring a junk removal company is whenever you need them, you can reach them immediately. Another thing is the junk is disposed properly in a waste disposal place. So, if you want to get rid of your junk, hire a reputable junk removal company.

Photoshop and Fireworks

I want to change the header of this blog soon, maybe next week. I’ve already change the headers of my other blogs, VivienZone and Vienesky.com (feel free to check them out!). In VivienZone blog, I used MS Word and MS Paint in making the header while the Vienesky.com blog, I used Fireworks. Actually, I had fun making the header with Fireworks, of course. Fireworks is a powerful tool in making designs. Anyway, I’d probably use Photoshop for the header here. I’m still a novice in Photoshop but I’m willing to learn more. Many web or graphic designers are rather using Photoshop than Fireworks. Let’s see which one works for me. How about you? Do you like Photoshop better than Fireworks?
