"iPhone 5"

iPhone 5 will be launched this Summer 2011. The price is still unknown.
The expected specs: Faster, thinner, lighter, more storage
Apple has produced a new version of its smartphone every year since launching the original iPhone in 2007–so it would be a shock if Apple didn’t launch a new phone in 2011. There are relatively few rumors about this device right now, but the rumblings are likely to grow louder as Apple’s annual Worldwide Developers Conference approaches in June.

Email Attachments

In Email attachments, we should always be careful. If we see the file extensions look like these below, take a extra precaution.

.scr – Windows Screen Saver – USE CAUTION if you receive a screen saver via email. They can contain worms or viruses
.pif – DO NOT OPEN! This is most likely a virus. Clicking it will run a program or code that can mess up your computer.
.exe – executable file – a program that contains a virus, Trojan horse, or worm
.pps – MS PowerPoint (can contain macro virus)
.zip – Zip (compressed) file
.vbs – Visual Basic script
.bat – Executable MS-DOS batch file
.com – DOS executable command
.asp – active server page – internet script
.doc – Word document (can contain macro virus)
.xls – Excel file (can contain macro virus)

File extensions tell what the program is and how to treat a particular piece of data. For example, most people are somewhat familiar with .doc or a .txt file extensions these are both text documents. Hackers use some emails and activate the virus, which is always an attachment. Most Anti-virus nowadays stops, or at least warns you of high risk attachments. But don’t just rely on that. Don’t open a file or any link from a sender that you don’t recognize to be doubly sure.

Digital cameras are very popular nowadays

November 4, 2010 · Posted in Gadgets, Technology · Comment

Digital cameras are very popular nowadays. There are hardly any people that are still using film cameras. I know there are still people out there but I think digital cameras are way cooler than film cameras. With digital cameras, you can edit and delete your photos. Digital cameras can store and hold many pictures. I love digital cameras and I don’t thin I would want to use film cameras in the future. The price of digital cameras are dropping and some people are asking themselves as to whether or not it make sense to buy a new camera or to just replace the old one. Well, of course, it depends on your camera. If you have invested a lot of time and money on your broken camera then it makes sense to have it fixed.

These days, technicians are able to repair broken cameras easily. The accessories or parts are less expensive because they are manufactured easier than ever before, even if you broke the LCD of your camera. So, having your broken digital cameras is not a big deal. You can find some sites that offer Nikon digital camera repair service online, like Nikon coolpix camera repair for example. Most of these sites offer free quotes. You should compare the quotes so you can get the best deal and see if it makes sense to get camera fixed or just buy a new digital camera. You should think about it because getting digital camera repair could be really intimidating. You will never know if you digital camera would still be the same.

"keychain", "loyaly keychain", "loyalty cards"

Do you carry a dozen of loyalty cards or more every day? There’s always a great chance that you could easily lose those loyalty cards. Cupertino-based Mobeam capitalized by creating the Nümi Key. Nümi key chain is gadget that includes a patented LED system, which “beams” the loyalty card information into a checkout scanner in a readable format. This gadget holds about 50 different barcodes – pointing the device at the barcode scanner, and pressing the red button in the center, given that the store uses a laser checkout scanner. This is available at amazon.com at $34.95. To add loyalty cards to the device, the Nümi Key is connected by USB to a Windows computer, and the user surfs to myloyaltycards.com, in which from there, the user chooses the retailer and enters the membership card number. The service supports about 55 retailers as of now. But the only downside of Nümi is it’s only for Windows users. This is because to the configuration website using ActiveX and Interner Explorer in order to hook up to the device. But Mobeam says there will be a version for Mac sooner or later.
