Two days till New Year

New Year 2011 is coming very soon. It is 2 days away from now. I am kind of excited just thinking about it. I am keyed up and animated to face the new year. Well, I am hoping that there would be more opportunities and blessings from God for me and my family next year. Obviously, my life would totally be different as I welcome a baby boy on around February or March. I am excited and nervous at the same time to be mother for the first time.

MERRY CHRISTMAS EVERYONE !!!

Christmas!  The very word brings joy to our hearts.  No matter how we may dread the rush, the long Christmas lists for gifts and cards to be bought and given – when Christmas Day comes there is still the same warm feeling we had as children, the same warmth that enfolds our hearts and our homes.  ~Joan Winmill Brown

The true essence of Christmas

December 23, 2010 · Posted in personal, Society · Comment

Christmas is the season of giving and sharing. This Christmas, share your blessings with other people or your loved ones. A lot of people would cram and compel themselves to spend a lot for this event and then later, they became broke. You don’t have to spend a lot for Christmas. It is not about material things. A simple greeting is enough. You can give anytime you want to as long as you have something to give to your loved ones or most especially, those who are needy. For this holiday, we must remember Christ o. Christmas Day commemorates the birth of our savior Lord Jesus.

Holiday shopping is a big deal to many people around the world. People shop for gifts to give to their friends, relatives, and families and loved ones. However, you have to keep track of your budget and finances. In other words, don’t go nuts. To keep track of your budget, you should make a practical financial plan. This is to avoid and prevent from having a post-holiday headache.

First, you should make a list of the people you plan to buy gifts for. This includes the type of gifts and the budget.

Second, include the expenditure for wrappings, greeting cards and postage.

Lastly, shop around and look for affordable and inexpensive prices.

Don’t spend more than you have to.
