House

I am not usually one for a hospital drama. Grey’s Anatomy is basically the most boring show on Earth to me. I can’t get down with all the drama that is so unrealistic at a hospital. I feel like doctors and nurses don’t have time to flirt and hookup in a broom closet in real life and if they are they would most certainly be fired on the spot. I did start watching House recently and I kind of like it. I think what I like about it is how unfrilly and unfriendly Dr. House is to all of his supporting staff. I think in real life doctors probably are really like that so they might as well portray that correctly on television. There are some times when I feel like he is being full on mean to people but I guess that is just a quirk of the show that you have to get used to. I am not sure that I would consider myself used to it at this point but he is definitely growing on me. Check out www.Direct.tv to find out if you can get House on your television.

Are you using Internet Explorer 7?

Are you using Internet Explorer 7? I just upgraded mine to IE9, so far it’s good. Though, I must admit that IE is a pain in the butt for web developers. Recently, I’ve designed and developed two websites. I had to compare how they look in different browsers. I was having a bit hard time with IE. Thankfully, I got the codes from the Internet. Anyhow, 4% worldwide are still using IE7. IE7 is outdated. So, if you are still using IE7, I encourage you to upgrade to IE9. Or use other web browsers, like Firefox, Opera, Chrome, Safari, etc.

Opportunities in life

I want to make more money this year too. I have to strive hard to achieve this goal. There’s nothing impossible if you believe you can do it, right? I hope my online business will prosper. I also want to cut our expenses and minimize buying things that I don’t really need.

Anyhow, I was glad that I was able to talk to my brother today, even just for a few minutes. We hardly talk these days since he lives thousands of miles away from me. I can’t really call him every day on the phone because international long distance call is very expensive. The only way to communicate with him every now and then is through yahoo messenger.  I told him about job opportunities or hiring abroad. He was pretty excited about it and told me that his Horoscope said that he’s going to have a prosperous new year. My brother believes in horoscope, tarot reading, Psychic reading, and stuff like that. But I told him that he should leave everything to God. It’s up to him. I don’t judge people who believes in horoscopes and readings. In fact, I used to get so excited to read my daily horoscopes or find out my life through card reading before. But since I became a Christian, I don’t think of finding these things out anymore. It’s a preference, you know. I just hope and pray that he will find a way to improve his life in terms of finances. I can see that he is excited to find more financial opportunities. I advised him that he should take every opportunities that would come in his life because opportunities knock only once (just like the saying goes. I must admit that I missed some really good opportunities before and I regret not grabbing them when they were still available.

Simple ways to cut expenses

January 23, 2012 · Posted in Money/Finance, Shopping · Comment

It would be really great if I could save money this year. Last year, me and my husband did out best to pay off our debts. Now, we just owe our house mortgage. It feels so good when you don’t worry too much about your finances. We are hoping to save up money this year. How? Well, we want to cut our expenses.

I know there are many ways to cut household expenses. We can cut our expenses simply on water and electricity, but we have been doing it since then. I can collect some store coupons and use them for shopping.

Anyhow, I also want to start looking for some great deals online. I want to be a smart shopper! I just found out about nomorerack.com. Have you heard of this store? Oh, it was really astonishing how incredibly low their prices are. I researched about nomorerack (that’s what I usually do if I find an online store that’s new to me) and I came across some nomorerack reviews online. I have read up some good and bad reviews about this company, just like any store. There are unhappy and satisfied customers. In fact, there’s a report of nomorerack scam. I read the article, but it didn’t really change my impression about nomorerack. I want to give it a try. It’s like any other store, big or small, popular or not, they can still get bad feedback or criticisms from their customers.

Great new Marc Jacobs purse for my fall looks

It seems like every season, I get obsessed with a whole new purse. It just happens all the time and I guess that I shouldn’t’ be really surprised that it happens that way. I’m such a sucker for accessories. That’s where most of my allowance for my wardrobe goes after all. I like to stick with really classic clothes and just really amp my look up with soem really cute accessories. I’m a sucker for designer labels, but I can’t really afford hardly any of them. So I like to buy used ones online and from consignment shops. The great thing about designer purses is that they’re well made and last for a really long time, so that you can buy vintage ones when cheaply made purses fall apart after rough use from just a season.

I was online with my Boston wireless internet the other day trying to track down some cute purses when I came across this adorable Marc Jacobs bag that I could see myself carrying around for years.

The Marc Jacobs purse is so adorable and I think that I’m going to be inseparable from it for a while.
