Boating & Alcohol Don’t Mix

I love boating. It is cool and exciting to see different things on the water and sky. But let’s not ignore some precautions. Boating under the influence of alcohol can be more dangerous than driving a behind a wheel under influence of alcohol. It is totally against the law but also with boating. In other words, Boating and Alcohol Don’t Mix. Alcohol is more fatal on water than on the road. Alcohol affects your sense of balance, visualization, judgment, and dexterity. That’s why; don’t ever dare to operate a boat when you are drunk. Though, alcohol affects people in different ways.

In addition, alcohol deliberately slows down reaction and impulsive reaction time and it can cause an inner ear disturbance – thus affects equilibrium. Most states strictly implement boating-under-the-influence (BUI) boaters or operating boats under the influence law, just like the state of Arizona. Check out the video below. Boating can be more fun and enjoyable when you are not intoxicated. Boating includes constant shifting. And you really have to pay attention because it is noisy. The sun and wind affects your visual. It can be very dangerous when you are out on the water. How much more when you are under the influence of alcohol? Take boating seriously.
