Wave by Antonio Carlos Jobim

December 24th, 2008

I really love Bossa Nova music. Bossa nova is a style of Brazilian music most popularized by Antônio Carlos Jobim and and João Gilberto. The musical style progressed from samba but is more compounded harmonically but less percussive. Historians and fans often debated on the influence of bossa nova as cool jazz and cool sensibility. I really loved Carlos Jobim’s wave. Take a moment to listen to video here.

simple techniques in writing a post for a blog

December 23rd, 2008

I would like to share my technique in writing a post for a blog. Do you write your thoughts in the “create” page right away in blogspot? In writing a post for my blogs, I use MS Word to see my grammar, word spelling, and word counting. When you do some sponsored reviews—advertisers require us to make 50-300 words. To check word count, go to “Tools” in the Menu bar and then click word count. Right now, I typed 123 words all in all. After you’re done, just do the copy and paste method. I simply use Ctrl A- to highlight the whole article, then Ctrl C for copy and then Ctrl V for paste. By using MS Word, you can do your job easier and faster.

shopping site

December 23rd, 2008

In buying stuff especially through online, it is customary to research and surf the net first. It always takes time. I also do it personally before I buy certain items on the net. I surf the net first and check out which site or store online that offers more affordable price. As I browsed the net, I found a site where it helped me find the product that I was looking for without spending too much time messing with search engines. This site is called Shopwiki.com. It is a great search tool (just like Google) for shopping. This shopping search tool animatedly crawls numerous stores online and gets you a huge list of results of the products and prices that you desire.

However, it gives you the options to narrow down your your search results. You can either browse by price, brands, products, stores etc. Like for example, if you are looking for babies and toddler products, you will find a huge list of results, guides, reviews and information. You can also join in their shopping directory and wiki buying and gift guides in which you can make a new wiki in the Shopwiki community. I would say that Shopwiki.com is an excellent concept for searching products on the net. It saves us more time and gives productive results.
